We are looking for dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our team of providers. Working in a collaborative relationship with physician providers, the APP will provide direct care to the heme/onc patient. The APP will serve as a consultant, researcher and educator. The candidate will diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic health problems of the heme/onc patient. This will include ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, providing appropriate treatment and performing diagnostic studies. The setting is out patient based but may include inpatient responsibilities.
Under supervision of physician, duties will include (but are not limited to) obtaining health histories, performing complete physical exams and psychological assessments, and performing diagnostic procedures in an oncology office.
NP requirements: NYS Licensure and National Certification, BCLS
PA requirements: Completion of PA program and current state license, BCLS, 3 years’ experience in hematology/oncology preferred.
